Emma Siggins White in 1920, after the death of her husband [ John Barber White], and in his honor, wrote a book called Genesis of the White Family. One place it is for sure is at New England Historical Society in Boston, MA. It covers the history of the White family back through the ages. Ask your reference librarian at your local library to try to locate this book through inter-library loan for you. Check for Bancroft's History of the U.S. for information on John White's group Hakluyt recorded the names of those pioneers who sailed with John White and Richard Grenville from Plymouth in April, 1585. 107 men left on the Island of Roanoke.
