An aunt of James and William, named Elizabeth, had married William Edding. They had a son, William, called Billy. When James was 22 yrs old, the American Revolution broke out. James, Billy Edding and William came to America with General Lafayette. When the war was over, they deserted him and wouldn’t go back to France. Billy Edding married Indian Chief Keoto’s oldest dau. White Fawn or Elizabeth. James married one of the Chief’s brothers daughters named Martha Arden. Billy had 13 daughters. James had 1 dau, r4 sons. Dau named was Martha Loucille. Sons were James Jr., Alfred, John L. and Richard. James Jr. married Elizabeth Edding Alfred Nancy Lane John L. Cora Ann Frazier Richard Rebecca Edding Martha Loucille Ben Franklin (not the Ben Franklin) Note – arrow pointing from Elizabeth Edding to Rebecca Edding – sisters 2 cousins to husband In 1811 the Ozment’s and Edding moved from N. Caroline to Wilson Co., Tenn. James Jr. fought in war of 1812 under Andrew Jackson. 1839 – Alfred, James Jr. 7Martha moved to Ark (Ozment’s Bluff – Monticello) John L. and the Frazier’s stopping in Northern Miss. John L. came to Ark in 1845. In 1850 John L. left Ark to go to Tex to join John Jasper and some of his children that had married in MS. James Jr. had 14 children Son James G had 16 children John L had 12 children – GG grandfather was one of these (Charles) Richard had 9 children Alfred had 7 children Martha had 1 child. Girls name was Martha Geneva. These information came from one of Richard’s sons. John Jasper was married twice – 1st to Ann Morgan Murdock McIntosh, known as Mac was her son. He was Sheriff of Cooke, Co (TX) in 1881. We do not know for sure which way the name is spelled. One of her sisters married a man named Walker. He was a banker. Had the bank of Tishomingo, Oklahoma at one time and another sister married Henry Younger. John L. Ozment Cora Ann Frazier James Henry Ozment Martha Arden – Chief Keoto’s brother’s daughter.
