Have you searched the archives of the McArthur Ohio newspapers for mentions of the White families. Often one can pick up relationships thru the happenings pages about local residents. As Harry died in 1977, I would presume he was born late in the the 1800's or early 1900's so archives may be a good spot to tie his mother, Maggie, to William and James White. Or the local historical society may have information on the Whites. Otherwise, check 1880 and earlier censuses for any White family in that area containing any of the three names of the possible siblings, or cousins. Thanks so much for responding to my query. I have done some work in the papers. But mostly the older ones as I can't locate Williams death date. Have him on 1820 census, and can 't find him after that. Also can't locate his burial. My mother in law claimed she saw it when she was young, but we haven't been able to locate it. I really hadn't looked at the Wyman articles. They might have some clue too. And I didn't get an obit for Maggie. I'm wondering if James was just telling old man's tales. I know most Whites try to connect to Mayflower OR as someone suggested maybe on a later journey by the Mayflower?
