In searching for my Whites that I have thus traced back to John White in Mercer County, KY, wife is Cynthia/Cyntha - I found some untranscribed 1810 Mercer County census records with Prestly and Joel White on separate lines one under the other. There are notations for children and sexes, but of course no names. On a later census, I think 1830 there is also an Isaac White, again with no info on names or where they are all from. John in a later 1880 census reports that his parents are from KY and Cyntha reports that they are from KY and NC. I believe her last name to be Clemmons/Clements. John was born about 1811 which would make his parents to have been born about 1780 or so, perhaps earlier or later. Another interesting point I have discovered is that the boundary lines of the states changed from KY to IL thus even though they didn't move, their state line did. Does any of this info ring a bell for anyone? Eva
