My husband, a WHITE ancestor, and 3 children of our children, and a nephew of my husband have all been tested to carry an inherited gene. This gene took quite a lot of testing, etc, for the doctors to identify the gene. Now we can't trace back to see if it is inherited from the maternal or the paternal WHITE side, but if any WHITE family members out there, have this same inherited gene, or systhoms, then that could be a link to try to find our White ancestors which we haven't been able to trace back further than grandparents positively, and great grandparents--maybe. (Indiana location also VA before 1810 hla-B27 is the name of the inherited gene marker, its symthoms are a type of arthritis-like which usually hits the neck and shoulder , back, eyes, and hands , arms. ---the nephew was in the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota with a very bad episode in his eyes and back ---our son; had it in his feet (swollen very badly) and hips ---daughter in hands and back ---another daughter in upper back and arms, her symthoms are on-going and is taking meds for the pain, Embrel is one med she is taking now. +++++++++++++++++++++++= -attacks seem to come on after an illness or stressful situation -the males seem to have it the worst Some names given it are: Anklosing spondalysis, or Reiters sysdrome So if any WHITE family members show similiar problems, I would like to hear from them. or from any family that shares these systhoms.

HMM, my mother had severe problems with "uncle arther", (she is now deceased) and so do I. How ever my father is not a White. Mom's mother was a White. So I do not think that I can help with it? I do have White family still living however. I am not sure if any of them would be apt to help or not though. My paternal grandmother was Martha E. White, daughter of Andrew B. White and Cassandra Hayse. She was born in KY in 1868 and married John W. Brown. Their son, George W. "Dootin" Brown was my father. Several of my family members have a genetic disorder which affect the whole skeletal system, including the spine. My father and at least one of his brothers had it, I have it and two of my three children have it. It is called Cleidocranial Dysplasia. I also have a condition where a vertebra has slipped out of line in my lower back. This condition is called Spondylolisthesis. Some of my other cousins have what may be symptoms of the CCD.
