My William came to Franklin, Co. Ga . about 1790. He applied for a headright grant from the state of Ga,in 1792. He received 140 acres on the Estanola Creek next to David Hays and Williamson. He bought additional lanf fron Daniel Morgan,In 1802 he paid taxes on 260 acres of land. His wife was Mary, who may have beenthe daughter of Obediah Hooper . Hooper was a residentof Franklin ,Co . who lived in the Estanola Creek area. His will was probated in 1800 listed a daughter Mary White. Willliam died in 1808. he did not leave a will but his estate was inventoried on june-09-1909. Mary White administered his estate and his brother Abel was one of the appraisers of his estate. Mary sold of some of the land but paid taxes on 100 acresof land in Franklin, Co and 200 acres of land that William drew in 1807 land Lotteryin Jones Co. Mary became ill in 1831 and drew up her will. She must have remained illfor the last 10 years of her life since her sons conducted business for her after that date. Mary White wife of William White was born about 1770 and died in 1742. Her will list her Children ;(1) Jenny or Jinny who married a Smith, Jenny was over 21 in 1812 since she signed a deed with her mother to sell land. She may have been born about1790.9 Son , Sion Whitewas born in 1793 in Ga. he married Elizabeth ?????? ,0 Sion was a Lieutentnant in the state militia from 12-30--1819 to 11-12-1821, he died in Franklin, co. in 1868.(3) Vinda or Vinna B: 1799 ? never married ( 4) Jerusha; M: Ambrose Chandler on May-03-1827 (5) Pleasant (6) Benjamin H. M; Margaret Smith on July-18-1829 Benjamin was out of state when Samuel sued him for a debt of $1000.(7) Samuel B; 1807 MY ancestor he m: Fatie Georgianna Smith on 04-21-1836.(8) Elizbeth: M: Archibald Jordon and D; before 1831, when Mary made her willshe left him $2.50 and stated he was not to getanything from her estate; (9) Martin was the youngest child , he lived in Franklin, Co. and I think never married. There may have been a son William Jr. who died about 1813That is all the children I have listed for William. I have some more pages but most of it is my direct family Line.
