    3. An obituary for Harry B. WYMAN born near McArthur, Vinton County, Ohio contains this reference to a Mayflower WHITE Mr. Wyman was born in a log house 1 1/4 miles south of McArthur, the only son of seven children born to R. H. and MAGGIE ANN WHITE Wyman. MAGGIE WHITE was a direct descendant of William WHITE of the Mayflower Colony which landed on Plymouth Rock in December 1620. My husband's William White was in Beaver co PA before coming to Gallia co Ohio, now Vinton co Ohio. It is possible that Maggie Ann White and William may have been connected since they would have lived fairly close to each other. Our William White had a son James, who claimed also descendant from the Mayflower William (for what that is worth!). Any suggestions? Thanks for reading this. Margaret Crist Calvin.

    3. I have been trying to find my gggrandfathers parents Samuel David White, born 1807 Stueben County NY, Married Mary Hunsaker and lived in Jonesboro, Union County, IL. My grandmother named her oldest son Justin Vinton and all other children were named after family and areas. I'm wondering if Maggie Ann White might have been related in some way. My grandmother also claimed decendant from the Mayflower. Any clues would be helpful. 3. Unfortunately, that is all I have. All I have is family tradition on the Mayflower, but I think even German Whites claim that. Sort of like all the men married Indian Prin cesses even though there was "no such thing" according to my research. None of the White researchers in Beaver co, PA seem to think they connect with my WILLIAM WHITE. Ah well!!!
