    3. I have a great-great grandfather Jary White Jr. who was born in Mt. Holly, Vermont in 1809 then moved with his father Jary White Jr. to Fountian Green, Hancock County, Ill. in the early 1800's. He married a Laura Eaton from Alabama. Jary White Sr. said his family came from Wales and some members of the family said it was the same area of Wales that Mayflower Whites came from. If anyone out there has researched the White family from Wales I would like to hear from them. the New ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jacquie" <mrsstrong1@yahoo.com> To: <white@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, April 09, 2007 7:09 PM Subject: [WHITE] Whites in Union Co., -Southern Illinois > To Darlene: > I have an unknown White in Southern IL that I have been trying to place > for over ten years.....I wonder if she is connected to your line. 3. I have a copy of Robert D. Sheehan's White Family Heritage, and Beyond The Pilgrims, plus the White Record Abstracts. He says he was "somewhat successful" in tracing the White Family back to First Century Ancient Wales. He has a White Family Bible given him by his grandmother and which he took very poor care of (his words) and it is now not restorable. He says it could not be William & Susannah's because the first marriage recorded is Peregrine and Sarah Bassett in 1646. This all to say its very interesting reading, for the history if nothing else. Unfortunately, none of these books helped me at all. M Calvin in Ohio PS: Not indexed!! >I have a great-great grandfather Jary White Jr. who was born in Mt.
