All, Many of you probably know about this, but I accidentally came upon this extraordinary web site, "a veritable treasury of letters and papers, dating from 1776. Mrs. Black is a descendant of Thomas White, who came to Monroe Co. in the 1820's, and his wife Jane Young White." The letters are transcribed, and there even is an index.
