Children born to William and Sophia include: Mary, Phobe, Sarah, Elizabeth, James Taylor, Ann, Catherine (Cary), Anthony, Thomas and Reuben. I have some information on Elizabeth, Mary and Catherine, but not much on the others. James Taylor had a grant near his father and mother in what is now Calhoun Co., NC,but is later found in Spartanburg, SC area until about 1797. He later appears in Caldwell Co., KY with family. I have seen a will for this family and (as my memory serves me) there were four children listed. I believe there was a Thomas listed as a son in this will. His brother, Thomas, might have traveled in the same areas of migration. Hopefully, this info might be of help. If you would like for me to dig more deeply into my files, let me know.
