I am afraid I don't have any information on any of the family of Stephen William White. I have a lot of information from he and Rebecca on down. I was trying to get into the SC census today to start seeing what I could find but wasn't able. The families certainly could be related. Do you know if your Whites are suppost to be part indian? According to one cousin who knows several of the grandchildren of Stephen he was 1/2 Irish and 1/2 Cherokee. Rebecca is suppost to be full Cherokee. When my sister and I started looking a White cousin told us that our gg grandfather Stephen Melvin White, son of Stephen William, was full indian and his wife was full irish. As I have found cousins the indian and irish tale is there but in different forms. I am sure there is indian and irish blood there somewhere since everyone seems to know about it, just don't know where. The children of Stephen and Rebecca were born in different places - so they moved around before finally settling in Arkansas. Their children were: 1. Martha Adaline Demaris White b 1835 in SC d 1866 in Spring Place, Murry Co, GA. 2. Nancy Catherine White b 1838 in SC 3. Stephen Melvin White b 1840 in Georgia b about 1874 in Ark. 4. Bryon A. "Barm" White b 1846 in Tenn. 5. John Daniel Issac White b 1847 in GA d 1912 in Ark I believe 6. Estella Vanessa White b 1860 in Ga d ca 1947 in Baxter Co, Ar 7. James Jefferson White b 4 Feb 1862 in GA d 9 Feb 1949 in Springfield, MO. 8. Harry William White b 1842 9. Drucilla Elizabeth White b 1844 10. Robert Monroe White b 1849 d 1877 possibly in Ark or Mo. May have been murdered by jealous husband. Have talked to lady who is kin to the man who is suppost to have killed him. 11. Wesley Felix White b 1854 Stephen Melvin enlisted in the 22 Reg't Georgia Infantry Co. D on 3 Sep 1861 in Johnson, SC Do any of the places fit your Whites? I certainly would love to find someone who knew who my Stephen William's parents were. Anna
