Joan, I read your information with great interest. My great-grandfather was Alexander White born in Illinois in 1803. We have no information on him until 1859 when he comes to Oakville, Live Oak County, Texas. He is already 46 years old. He is married to Nancy Caroline Reeves who has two children by a previous marriage. While in Oakville Alexander and Nancy have one son, Benjamin Franklin, and then twins John Donelson and Wiley Frazier. They travel through Texas and have a daughter Amanda in Coleman County, Texas, and finally settle in Coryell County, Texas and have another daughter, Mary. Alex died in 1875 and is buried in the Coffey Cemetery in Coryell County. Your genealogy is the first White line I have seen with the name of Alexander passed on from generation to generation. Could my Alexander be from your line? We do not know who Alexander's father or mother were. He has been our brick wall. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
