    2. Hi Folks, I'm posting some WHITEs I found in the NY Family Bible Records database, courtesy of Ancestry.com. Holy Bible in English; Philadelphia, Carey & Lea, 1823. Contains the records of Peter A. Jay, son of John Jay, and of Mary Rutherfurd Clarkson, his wife; with those of their descendants to the present day. It is now the property of Dr. John C. Jay, of New York, grandson of the original owner. Name: Mary J. Jay; Jonathan Edwards Comment: daughter of J. C. & L. Jay married to Jonathan Edwards on the 5th of June 1861 by the Rev. J. C. White at Rye. ====================================== Name: Francis Lewis (Born 1750.) Holy Bible in English; Oxford, T. Wright and K. Gill, 1777. Contains record of Francis Lewis and Elizabeth Ludlow, his wife, with their children. We have not been able to locate the present owner of the Bible, nor to verify the records. Name: Juan Francis Comment: born Thursday, 16th. Septr 1779 at four O'clock A.M. at Philadelphia. Baptized ye 26th. Octobr 1779 by the Revd. Mr. White. Sponsors. Don Juan D. Name: Edmund Ludlow Comment: born Sunday 30th. Septemr. 1781 at Twelve O'clock A.M. at Philadelphia. Baptized 8th: Novemr. 1781 by the Revd. Mr. White. Sponsors. Francis Lewis, Junr. John Craig. Margta. M. Craig. Died Saturday 20th. Aug. 1782 at five O'clock P.M. at Philadelphia. ========================================== Name: Maria Van Beverhoudt (1752-1791.) New Testament and Psalms in Dutch; Amsterdam, A. Hasebroek, I. van der Putte, I. van Heekeren, 1723. Contains part of the records of the children of Maria Van Beverhoudt and her husband, James Barclay; the existing record begins in the middle of the notice of their first son and it is probable that there was an earlier leaf of records which is now lost. The Testament passed to Mrs. Maria Van B. Barclay's nephew, Andrew Barclay Bache, and it has descended directly from him to his great-granddaughter, Miss Charlotte Elizabeth Dudley, of Brooklyn, N. Y., who is the present owner. Name: Charlinne Elizabeth; Sarah Amelia Comment: On 22 April 1784 was born my twin Daughters and baptized in St. paul's Church by the Rev. Mr. Marshal of Connecticut the Sponsor to Elizabeth John De Wint, Mrs. Henry White and Mrs. Bleecker. to Emilia Leonard Lispenard, Mrs. Mc Evers & Helena Cortlandt and on the 20 of Sept 1786, 9 O'Clock in the Evening it pleased the Lord to take to himself my Daughter Amelia aged 2 years -- Months and 6 Days. =================================================== Name: Maria Van Beverhoudt (1752-1791.)
