Jay, son of John Jay, and of Mary Rutherfurd Clarkson, his wife; with those of their descendants to the present day. It is now the property of Dr. John C. Jay, of New York, grandson of the original owner. Name: Mary J. Jay; Jonathan Edwards Comment: daughter of J. C. & L. Jay married to Jonathan Edwards on the 5th of June 1861 by the Rev. J. C. Contains record of Francis Lewis and Elizabeth Ludlow, his wife, with their children. We have not been able to locate the present owner of the Bible, nor to verify the records. New Testament and Psalms in Dutch; Amsterdam, A. Hasebroek, I. van der Putte, I. van Heekeren, 1723. Contains part of the records of the children of Maria Van Beverhoudt and her husband, James Barclay; the existing record begins in the middle of the notice of their first son and it is probable that there was an earlier leaf of records which is now lost. The Testament passed to Mrs. Maria Van B. Barclay's nephew, Andrew Barclay Bache, and it has descended directly from him to his great-granddaughter, Miss Charlotte Elizabeth Dudley, of Brooklyn, N. Y., who is the present owner. Name: Charlinne Elizabeth; Sarah Amelia Comment: On 22 April 1784 was born my twin Daughters and baptized in St. paul's Church by the Rev.
