Angel, I know how frustrating it can be without family to double check for information. But don't let it get to you!! When I started this, I knew very little, and within 4 months time, I have had 4 distant family members respond. Post you queries on every ancestry location you can. Check into military records, ask any and all living family members. Sometimes a small bit of information given to them will trigger more information. But, above all, don't despair!!
