Was someone out there researching a Willis WHITE? If so, a cousin of mine found this info in some deed abstracts: On April 20, 1837 Merit M. White and wife Judith sold to Willis White for $40, 83 acres near Cold Mountain; part of a tract of Joshua Tinsley, deceased, and to them as heirs.
