Still looking for a connection to my Whites from South Carolina.... I am looking for the parents of : McCauley White.. b. 1828 m. Anna E. Thames (daughter of John C. Thames) R. Pinckney White b. 1832 m. Rebecca Ridgill (daughter of Richard Ridgill) Elizabeth White b. 1835 John White b. 1837 m. ??? Alvonia White??? Jas White (James White) b. 1839 m. Frances Savilla Thames (daughter of John C. Thames These people were listed in 1850 Sumter District Census with an Agnes White... b. 1807.. Is this their mother??? Who is their father..?? McCauley White and Anna are listed also in the Charleston 1860 Census.. living with or near R. B. White, Oliva D.,Mary Mc, and R. P White... (I believe R P white to be R. Pinckney White) James and John are listed in the 1860 census living in the same household with whom I believe might be John's wife.. Alvonia?? hard to read... and Jame's wife Savilla.. who is my ggggrandmother Frances Savilla Thames.. also listed are two children.. Cornelia.. age 2.. and Joseph age 6 months.. don't know if Cornelia is Joseph's sister or not.. but Joseph Burchill White is my ggrandfather... In the 1850 Charleston census.. There is mentioned a McCauley White... age 43... listed with a Margaret White age 39, Selena White, age 19, and a Charlotte White age 14.... Does anyone know anything about these two McCauley Whites??? Are they father and son... two different wives???
