Hello Jean, Loudon County is almost due south of where I am in Maryland and Monongalia County in WV is almost directly west of here. I think most of my line went from MD to what is now WV with few side branchings.The only Richard I can remember offhand is Captain Richard Armstrong White, who served in a WV (Union) infantry regiment during the late unpleasantness.
