This is the first time I have posted to this list. I am trying to find the names of my gggrandfather's parents. His name was James Hillhouse White b.May 1802 in Derry County, Ireland. I do know his mother's first name was Mary. His father came to this country when James was a small child. He sent for his family when James was 16. They then came to the Lincoln/Gaston County area of North Carolina. James became an influential part of the formation of Gaston County in the 1840's. If there is anyone out there who may be able to help me find this information it would really be appreciated. Thanks Elaine White Toney
