Kit, I can't tell you anything other than perhaps point "the way"....but there were a slew of Whites who moved down from Loudoun Co, Va area (the Richard White descendents) who seem to be picked up in Randolph Co, NC (and of course some close surroundings) along with a Deborah York (my GGGGM) who was "born NC"...(I can't determine parentage yet). But my Absalom White born 1772 Loudoun Co, Va married Phebey Adcock in Randolph Co, on Dec 17, 1801. Their son, Nathan, born 1802 mar Deborah York "born NC" 1804, in Lawrence Co, Ala, and later on Absalom, b 1772 died in Limestone Co, Al. 1832. Nathan moved on into Tippah Co, Ms. Those Whites who didn't end up in Al or Ms seemed to have stayed, mostly in Greene and Hawkins or Jefferson Co, Tn.
