Katie White Burger, 79, of Powhatan, WV, died Feb. 19th, 2000, at the Welch Emergency Hospital in Welch, WV. Katie was born August 30th, 1920, to the late Walter and Mary Etta White. Katie married Walter Burger and from this union, 13 children were born. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Jessie James Burger and Adam Burger; two sisters, Ida Carter and Alberta Cunningham; and one brother, Silas White. Katie's survived by five daughters, Cortez (Herbert) Moore of North Taze- well, VA, Creola McMillan of Powhatan,Christine Smith of Jenkinjones, and Dorthy Jenkins of North Carolina, Evelyn (Melvin) Prunty of El Paso, Texas; six sons, Walter (Gail) Burger Jr. of North Carolina, Evg. Eugene (Clarice) Burger of Columbus, OH, Bishop Samuel (Lena) Burger o Columbus, Ed- ward (Ival) Burger of Eckman, Elder Charles (Lillian) Burger of Columbus, and Jerome Burger of Columbus; two dear friends, Mabel Wade of Key- stone, and Helen Henderson of Powhatan; 29 grandchildren; 32 great- grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and all friends in the surrounding community. Katie's burial will be at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Littlesburg Road. bd020
