Does anyone have any information on the famous circus clown William A. DONOVAN who is buried in Brooklyn NY? I think that he died sometime in the late 1850's. I believe that William A. DONOVAN's widow married a Charles WHITE. Mrs. Charles WHITE also worked for the circus. William A. DONOVAN's son William A. WHITE married the bearded lady in 1895. William A. WHITE may have been married to another woman named Leona (from Illinois) prior to the bearded lady. William died in England about 1899. The orphaned children of William A. WHITE and Leona would have been Charles Joseph WHITE b. abt 1886 Mt. Pleasant TX and Jeanette Leona WHITE. These children were taken in by Charles and Polly RIFFLE in Lena Wisconsin. They appear there in the 1900 census. Linda White
