Hey, Jean McCloy, do you have the names of the sons of Richard White, that may have gone to Tn? My great grandfather, Tapley White, and his father, also named, Tapley, reportedly came from Tn, to Union, or Alexander Co., IL.. I found one Tapley on the 1820 IL census, and believe the younger Tapley was born in IL... I did find in the Alexander Co. book, that Tapley (No. 1) was the first Justice of Peace in that county..
