Ann: Thanks for the clues on locating the Slave owners. I have found my family in the 1880 census not the 1870. I'll try looking at the 1860 census. I do know they spent some time on The Round O Plantation in Darlington. Many are buried there. Have you found the slave schedules for the 1850 or 1860 census in that area of SC? And were you able to locate that same family on the 1870 or 1880 census?>>
