    2. Hi, Sandra; It took me a while to figure out the "AA" in your WHITE query, but reading the rest of the text, I think it's "Afro-American", correct? Have you found the slave schedules for the 1850 or 1860 census in that area of SC? And were you able to locate that same family on the 1870 or 1880 census? I was successful in finding some information on an "AA" family I researched in Tennessee. It's not easy, but keep at it. Check death indexes for slaveholders and get records of estates. They sometimes name the slaves they owned. Do you have access to that plantation's records in the county, or perhaps cemetery records, which sometimes will mention slaveholders? Also, there is a great site on the web which starts with "Afrigeneas", I think associated with the University of Mississippi, you may be able to browse and get to it. A great lot of help there.
