Sue, My John W. White and all of his siblings except the youngest were born in Alabama. Their parents were Willis C. White and Eliza Daniel. John was born in 1818. Willis C. (Chandler ?) White was born about 1791 in Kentucky. I think his father was a John W. White, and perhaps his grandfather was Willis Chandler. I believe there were John Whites and Willis Chandlers living in Halifax County, Virginia in the latter half of the 1700's who might possibly be the ancestors of my Whites. Do any of you have information on the Whites and Chandlers of Halifax County? Marleen Van Horne
