"Jul 5, 1979 Denver, CO My grandfather was Tyler White and he married Mary Ellen Frazier. Her father was Martin Frazier and her mother was Sarah Widener. I do not know much about Tyler White's ancestors. He was born in Tennessee (probably Sevier County) and his parents were born in North Carolina. All of the Frazier's were from Knox and Sevier Counties, Tennessee. If you think there is any connection between our family, I would like very much to correspond. Tyler White and his family moved to Kansas around 1900, probably a little before 1900. Very truly yours, Virginia Thompson" Eva

You wrote concerning a possible family connection to Cole Younger. My info is limited and my main source of info is a gentleman: Glenn S. Paul of Eldora, IL. I can not see a connection at this time and believe you will have to go further back one or two generations before a possible tie in would become clear. The name Harris rings more of a bell with me than Morgan. Several years back I remember reading an article mentioned 2 cousins of Cole Younger being imprisoned during the Civil War. The names were Harris and Kerr. Sorry I can not tell you what the name of the book was. I will enclose some notes from Mr. Paul's records for your future reference. "April 1, 1977 - Huntsville, AL Greenberry Sewell married Ann Brasdle (so spelled on the marriage record) in Franklin Co, GA in 1807. We believe the name was pronounced Brazil and we do not know the correct spelling. Both Greenberry and Ann died before the 1850 census, but we think that Ann may have been born in South Carolina. At this time we do not have the names of her parents nor any brothers and sisters. Greenberry and Ann died in Carroll Co, Georgia between 1846 and 1850. Mary Frazier/Fraser married James Jones late 170's probably in Abbeville, Co, South Carolina, as they lived in Abbeville Co. Mary had brother William, and John and a sister Esther Young Woods, all in Abbeville Co, SC. I do not have names of parents nor other brothers and sisters and have no idea where they lived before coming to Abbeville Co, SC. Frazier/Fraser is a Scotch name. James Jones, born 1750'sprobably in Wales, married Mary Frazier/Fraser in Abbeville Co, SC had a brother John Jones and their father was John Jones. Descendant of James and his brother John removed to Georgia in early 1800's. There were other brothers and sisters, but I do not know their names. Doris Russell" Eva
"Mar 14, 1977 Your letter was forwarded to me here in Arizona, as all my James and Younger material is at my home in Iowa I will not be able to send you the material you are seeking until I arrive home some time in April. I do not have any record that Cole (Coleman) Younger ever married, but Belle Starr (Maria Belle Shirley) claims he was the father of his daughter who went by the name of Younger. Belle's ranch in Okla. was called "Younger Bend". Cole always denied he was the father. Colman (Cole) Younger was named for his uncle Coleman Younger, who moved to Colorado. History also claims Uncle Coleman was the grandfather of the infamous outlaw Johnnie Ringo. I do not have a list of Uncle Coleman's children. You might start checking his family. This might be the Coleman Younger you are seeking. Have a list of Cole's father and grandfather's family which I hope are authentic. Did you know that Cole and the Dalton Bros were cousins? Will be glad to help you any way I can." Eva
