hello list..... it has been a while since i have posted on here and i see there is some new members.....does anyone have any information from the white/mcneese line that came to edgar/clark/vermilion county illinois from greene county tn? i am searching for the parents of isaac white.....all i know is that he was born in virginia in 1786 and has a sister elanore. Isaac was married three times (1) to mary paddy, (2) mary ann kendall and (3) to mary jane mcneese. he had 21 kids total from the three marriages. my line is from the third marriage. i have hit the famous "brickwall". I see a lot of info on whites from virginia but as of now i cant make a connectin.....but hope to someday....does this info ring a bell to anyone?? angel white hsmgr1@aol.com

I have been on this family list for awhile now and I have seen suggestions come and go but, one I haven't seen yet is about race or nationality. While it is great that we help one another like this I think it would also benefit to put the race in your requests. I know I'm not saying this right. But if I'm tracing a John Doe and see another one show up with some of the same names I think great. Then I start running the names down and find out its for a black John Doe. Also I know that most of you like myself is running a direct line with not too much time spent on Aunts, Uncles, Brothers, Sisters....ETC. So I am sure that some of the requests for info could be for the Aunts, Uncles, Brothers, Sisters.....ETC. that we pass by. Jay

My Uncle and Cousin (Last time I asked them they were still Republican) are Clinton Whitehouse II and Clinton Whitehouse III. I had to live with my uncle growing up and we answered the phone 'Whitehouse' residence. Hi all! I'm looking for info. on the parents and siblings of John White (Sr) b. 1826 in DE and d. 8-21-1910 in Urbana, Champaign County, IL. His obit. says his parents moved to Wetzel Co., WV, when he was young. He m. 6-2-1853 Narcissus (Narcissa) Ferrell b. 1836 in Tyler Co., WV, and moved to Marion Co., WV. In 1865 they moved to Woodford Co. (and later McLean Co.), IL. Children: Robert Perry (my gggrfather), Albert M., Levi Bruce, Marshall, born in WV, and Mary, Spencer, John (Jr), born in IL I have info on above and am willing to share. Yes I would appreciate any information. Its so exciting to learn anything about William/Susanna/Peregrine White. My line continues with Daniel, Thomas, William, John, David, Allan White.
