Hi My name is Becky and I saw your post on White's on Rootsweb. Do you have anymore info on the Stephen White under Luke and Grace's children. I have a Stephen White in my line and have been told he went by another name. It is possible he married twice because he has children I haven't found. This Stephen married Rebecca James how is said to be full blood Indian and they had 11 children. Stephen William White is said to have married Rebecca about 1815/1818 S.C. their children areas follows: Adaline Martha Demaris b. 1853 S.C. Nancy C. b. 1838 Melvin b. 1840 Harry William b.1842 Drucilla E. b. 1844 Bryon A. b. 1846 Robert M. b. 1849 Daniel Isaac b. 1852 Wesley Felix b. 1855 Estelle Vanessa b. 1860 James T. b. 1862 Does and of this sound familiar. There was a B.F. White in Georiga that refers to Stephen a his father, but don't know about him. Thanks very much Becky Kellum
Al and other interested parties, Don't take this as the absolute last answer on the subject, but I do believe you have to look to both the French and Spanish Archives for information on the lands of the coast of the Southern US, from Florida, to Louisiana and Texas to California. The land from Florida to Louisiana passed back and forth a couple of times between Spain and France. Many Americans settled in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida while these areas were still the territory of the French and Spanish. I am sure someone out there knows more about this than I do. Marleen Van Horne
Hi...No never got any anwwers, got quite few requests to share the info if it did come through but no answers, Most think that the information would be in the Missouri State files, but nobody quite knows where to begin to look..Sorry I cant be more helpful but Im still looking for the data...Al Cassell

A. Cassell, Did you ever receive answers to your questions below? I was just curious to know, as I haven't seen anything come back on the list. I don't know the answers, but am interested. I have three Isaac Whites listed, but you put no date or era or state or place on here. Give me something to go on and I will relook at my three Isaacs. When you put it that way, guess I had better give what I can find! :) My Wm B White has a daughter named Hannah b abt 1785, and a son named Jonathan, b abt 1780. No Andrew in my data. Wm B's Brother, Samuel, b 1751 also had a daughter named Hannah born Feb 28, 1797. No brother named John here either. However, I do have some Johns. John White b Nov 16, 1798 and died 1861 was buried in North Fork Baptist Cem in Lincoln, Va was son of William White who was born 1773 and died in 1825 in Woodburn Cem, Hamilton, Va. Thats about the closest I can come datewise, and although this whole family originated in Loudoun Co, Va they drifted down to Tn etc. But am working on Richard White, b 1726, hoping to take him back to Pa-Md-or?? For what its worth....Jean SSchu22739@aol.com wrote: > Hi All, > Just wondering if anyone has info on ANY Andrew White who had a son > named John in Pa. in the early to mid 1700'd possibly the Fort Ligonier area > though I am not sure of that. Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has info on ANY Andrew White who had a son named John in Pa. in the early to mid 1700'd possibly the Fort Ligonier area though I am not sure of that. Also any Hannah Whites who had a brother named John in mid to late 1700's Pa. I am getting desperate, lol! You can Email me at SSchu22739@aol.com Thanks! Sincerely, Sharon Lantzy Wygant
Jim, Where in MD were your Whites? I've been looking for Gideon White(abt 1755-1836) m. Hannah Barber and their daughter Ann Sparrow White (1818-1901) m. to George A Barber (abt 1800-1852). They lived in Anne Arundel County. Anything sound familiar? I descend from Woodford White, born 1820. He ended up in Kanawha County, WV sometime before 1845, where he lived most of his life. But, according to some family records, he worked as a boat builder along the James River in Virginia. He had at least one brother named Bluford (or Renford). Can anyone help me? Thanks, Shannon White
Hello Jean, Loudon County is almost due south of where I am in Maryland and Monongalia County in WV is almost directly west of here. I think most of my line went from MD to what is now WV with few side branchings. The only Richard I can remember offhand is Captain Richard Armstrong White, who served in a WV (Union) infantry regiment during the late unpleasantness. I don't believe we are related, but would be glad to be proven wrong. Good hunting! Jim White, Jr.
He was was the one who gave the information on the death cert. of John Franklin WHITE . Most of the time this information was given by a relative but no relationship given on the certificate. Let me know if you need look up on Canaday surname. Remember we had Kanaday in this area also. Two different families. MW
Lost your address..have info now. JeanW mccoy@gvtc.com

Dr Jim: Hey, another WHITE family member I recognize is here! As you know I am plowing ahead full force on our WHITE's. I'd like to bring my database up to date and I'm sure I have new additions which you don't have. Want to share ZIP disks? ==JFK== John Farrell Kuhns Parkville, MO
JAMES....since you are familiar with area...how does Loudoun Co, Va lay relative to this other group of Whites. Is it possible that Richard White, Loudoun Co, Va who had such a prolific family there in mid 1790's could be from same clan?
