    1. [WHITE] From Marjorie - White Group Sheets
    2. Marjorie K. Beaumariage
    3. I have had some interesting and I think good help in deciding what to do about the White Group Sheets. After receiving these suggestions I tried Charlene's suggestions and spent about an hour typing in names without even one hit. I will probably go back and try some more later but have decided not to bid on these sheets. Look at the information and suggestions I have received below and see if you don't agree with me. Thanks so much for all the input. Marjorie at beaumark@access.hky.com Researching descendants of John and Mary Ann Patterson White in PA and from there on. This one comes from Natalie Patton and was mailed to me directly: Marge: My experience with the family group sheets is they can come from everywhere. Some will be hand written and others typed. You never know what you will get. I did find that most of Yates collection is several years old. This is mostly take your chance. And this one was listed in the digest and comes from Charlene White. She suggested we try this address and she has the following to say about this: This is the 'source' of the group sheets on ebay. Some submitted data has more detail than others. I have used this site before, and my Alexander b 1810 MA d 1878 NJ : isn't among the ones listed :-( [However I did locate some info on one of my Post's :-) ] http://www.montana.com/yates/ In the search box put your surname followed by a comma, a space and then the first name ie White, Alexander. >From there you have to hit the 'next' to see the next alphabetically ordered set, 20 to a view. I did a search for Alexander White and the first name to fit the bill was this listing: WHITE, Alexande 1696 , Jean (Joan) 1698 PA 259.000 DB CGA 1 When I click on the contact I see the submitters name/address and the date the file was submitted. Another 'hit' was this one WHITE, ALEXANDE 1810 SC ROSS, MARGARET 1814 TN 1592.372 F! 1 This Alexander White had no submitter info. If you want a copy of the data they have, it's 1.00 per page +postage. Probably be wiser to check the site for your particular names rather than buy into bulk packaging of group sheets .... given the sheer volume of sheets (375) in this particular set.

    3. I'm sorry - I didn't mean to drop the ball on this. My back is in spasm and I've been confined pretty much to bed the last 10 days and on a lot of pain killers. I don't know much about group sheets to begin with - let me know what you all find out and if there's anything I can do to help. This guy only lives about 3 hours away from me - so calling him (when my drugs are gone) isn't a problem for me if anyone wants me to do this. Take care - I'm off back to my bed via the walker and wheel chair..... 3. Jo Ann Looks like this is a different set of White Group Sheets that I bid on a couple of weeks ago. Even though I did not win the bid, the lady who did said she would make me copies and send to me. Those are the one's that I said I would copy and send to anyone interested. But this is another set of group sheets up for bid now. I wish they would say something about what states they cover.
