    3. Gerri Ann-- I knew a WHITE family here in Winston-Salem back in the early 50s. They had a son named Steve and some other children. Thank you very much. The Jerry Ann I'm searching for most likely isn't living now. She would have been in her 20's around 1943-44 . Carol White may still be living. She had a son who was killed in motorcycle wreak back in the 1980's . I appreciate any help . Gerri Ann in TN

    2. Gerri Ann-- I knew a WHITE family here in Winston-Salem back in the early 50s. They had a son named Steve and some other children. I'd be happy to look up names in the phone book if you think that would help or check elsewhere here if you'd like. In fact, I know someone who was related to that family. I live right outside W-S and lived in W-S for about 45 years before moving just outside in Clemmons about 3 years ago, which is about 3 miles from Davie Co. and down the road from Mocksville. My WHITE connection is in TN: John White that lived around Columbia, Maury Co. /Williamson Co. John's daughter, Eliza P., is the line I'm searching for. I doubt they are related to the ones in this area although that's where you are now. Donna

    3. Sue, My John W. White and all of his siblings except the youngest were born in Alabama. Their parents were Willis C. White and Eliza Daniel. John was born in 1818. Willis C. (Chandler ?) White was born about 1791 in Kentucky. I think his father was a John W. White, and perhaps his grandfather was Willis Chandler. I believe there were John Whites and Willis Chandlers living in Halifax County, Virginia in the latter half of the 1700's who might possibly be the ancestors of my Whites. Do any of you have information on the Whites and Chandlers of Halifax County? Marleen Van Horne

They may be cousins or sisters or no relation at all. Jerry White may have married Roland Stanley of Mocksville, Davie Co. NC. She may also have ties to Ohio. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks,,,, Gerri Ann in TN

    2. This is too cute. I have many "cousins" that don't want to hear bad things about their relatives. This is the way they would want to hear it. I know you used Remus Starr just as an example, are you familiar with the Starrs? I noticed alot of them the the "Cherokee by Blood" volumes. Also in E. TN. I love reading thru the volumes when ever I can. Cousin Kathy, Dickinson, TX
