Actually no I'm not sure what the state is, I haven't traced their family. This is just what was given to me. It was actually written Mevada. I don't have anything past Mary & her siblings. I can list her siblings. What Phariss line do you have? You have Johnson, and McCall too? There's got to be a connection somewhere. That's just too many same surnames not to be. :) Alli > Alli, > I think you and I have corresponded before, especialy on the Pharris > name, but did not actually make a connection. I don't know who her parents are, they are my wall. My Mary White was born 1865 Nevada, Mo. had a Twin Sister named Martha Ellen White. Mary supposedly married an unknown HOOD, she had a child named Adrian Kennedy. I don't know if that is a male or female child, maiden or married name (if its female). My White line ended up in Okla. I have more siblings for her if there's a slight chance. Alli, I think you and I have corresponded before, especialy on the Pharris name, but did not actually make a connection. Do you have the name of your Mary White's father or grandfather? My Whites lived in Nevada Co,AR. Are you sure the name of the place is Nevada,MO? Just curious. I ask this, because I myself have gotten my ancestors AR and MO place names mixed up before. I am also researching White, Johnson, Pharris, and McCall names. Seeking information on MARY WHITE who was born 1832, Giles Co, Tn and married an L J LESTER in Tippah Co, Ms. Mary was the dtr of Nathan White and Deborah York. Anyone have this line? Jean mccoy@gvtc.com
I am trying to get some information on my Great-uncle H.K. WHITE he was in the Civil War enlisted July 22, 1861 in PA. In his obituary it states he was in the PA 62nd Reg. he was wounded at Gaines Mills and was discharged in Philadelphia in 1864. When I try to look up his record all I can find is (served PA and Transferred RC) the source of this is "History of Pennsylvania Volunteers, 1861-1865" Published in 1870 by the State of PA. Could some one tell me what the abbreviation R C stands for? Thank you for any help on this matter. Sammy ACREE Ehrnman
Looking for descendants and ancestors of Mary Hannah White and Charles Collett Miller. Mary was born 1848 in England, she married Charles C.Miller in Muscatine, Iowa on 29 Dec 1868. Her parents were John White and Hannah Harding White both from Devon, England. I have more information on her siblings and am willing to share! I found a pedigree of this couple on the LDS site and am looking for the submitter of the information. The submitter is BLANCHE GORDON MILLER from IN. Donna
I am looking for the parents of Judith White Shollar. Any help anyone can provide will be appreciated. Here's what I know: Judith White was born in 1806 in Huntingdon, Co. Pennsylvania. She was married to Jacob N. Shollar (1804-1853). Children's names: Martin V, Nancy, Christopher, Rachel, Thomas, James S. In 1850 I believe they are in Woodberry Township in Williamsburg, PA. There is a Jane Ketner living with Judith and Jacob in 1850, she is an older woman (maybe Judith's mother?). Thanks for the help. Sue
Sue, how about contacting Mac, they may have some tips regarding the use of v. 9 with FTM. Good luck, Sherry
Some time ago I told you about a new place for you to add your family info, thanks, many of you did, as a result you can now view these researchers at http://www.accessgenealogy.com/ just scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the letter of the alphabet you are interested in. Anyone else out > there having this problem? Sue I had the same problem. It turns out that the FTM uses part of my Printer program to organize its files. I had a Apple Stylewriter 1200 printer, which turns out to be incompatable with the FTM. I switched printer drivers and everything started working OK. Just go to the "Chooser" and select another printer, not necessarily to print out anything but to see if it makes a difference. In my case it made all the difference in the world!! So, I went to the Apple site and downloaded a driver program for a Stylewriter 1500(the color printer cousin of the 1200). Now all works OK--both the printer and FTM. By the way, I was really disapointed that the FTM for Mac does not have all the special printouts and other "Bells and Whistles" that the Windows program has. I have gone back to my old PAF. Good Luck! Tommy TomG@oui.com
I don't know the answer to your problem Sue but FTM has a List where users help each other with issues like that. Hi Edna: I'm here..... And I am curious since you were on both the white and Miles list if you have any connection to a Francis M. Miles married to Zillian? Zillian had at least one daugher and son by a previous marriage named Mary Ann White and Son William White. Mary Ann born in 1861 was married to George Collier Hall. Zillian is buried next to Mary Ann in Bluff Springs, Florida. If you have any information on this line I would appreciate your help. I look forward to hearing from you soon. N.
