Pardon me for butting in but I followed your discussion and noticed that there was a Gustavus White in your list...Ive been searching high and low for a Gustavus White..and yours is the only one I have ever found...Do you have any information on him, his parents, his line or anything else??...My Gustavus was William Gustavus White, whose father was Jacob S. White and both of them were in Kentucky prior to the Civil War...William Gustavus became a physician and attended Indiana University Medical School and praticed medicine in Illinois around Johnson County.Ive tried to find who he was named after, surely there would be more than one Gustavus in a family......Id really appreciate any information you might have on hand...Thanks of course...Al Cassell hcviii@ott.net

I have two death certificates that may be of interest to someone on this list. First is for George W. WHITE, DOD Jan 9, 1921. He was 74 years old who lived on a farm 7 miles from Dixon IL. He was listed as a single male, who was a retired farmer. Father and mother's name were unknown to the informant. Second is Mary Ida MILLER, DOD Jan 9, 1921. A 37 year old married female whose mother's maiden name was Agness WHITE who was born in New Oleans. She was reported born in Navasota Texas. Both were from Cook County. If either is of interest to you, please contact me by email. Warren White

Researching White family in Hoboken, New Jersey. According to 1870 census William H. White, wife Sarah and two sons, Howard and William lived in Hoboken. Howard was born in New Jersey in 1864 and brother William was born in Pennsylvania in 1869. The father was born in New Jersey, while the mother, Sarah J., was born in Pennsylvania in 1840. I know this family lived in Hoboken until at least 1910. The son, William J., later married Caroline "Carrie" E. Grant in 1900. Is anyone doing research in New Jersey? Do these names sound familiar to anyone? Thanks for the help! ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
Karen, I don't have any of the WHITEs you mentioned, but wonder if your WHITE line also includes a Samuel P. from Coles County, IL, who married Monterey Cook, then settled out in Iowa? Sherry
I am looking for information on the children of Sherwood and Susan (Kendrick) White, who died in Benton Co., AR about 1850. Sherwood was known as Slick White according to an article in Cornerstone Families. I believe he may have been a brother to James White, who was married to (1)Matilda Lawder, and (2)Sarinda (Lieb) Winningham, and raised a large family in NW AR. Tommy Graham TomG@oui.com

The census information that I would need (1890) does not exist, which could possibly give me an idea of who his parents are. I don't know any more information then what I have posted here. I do hope that someone else can connect with A.H. and shed some light on where he came from and who his parents and siblings were. Any possible connections are welcome! Good Morning All and Jean, Below in my initial email, it shows where he was born and died; I do not know where he lived between the time he was born and the time he died. I have all the info that I need from where he begins to what I will call the present. What I need is who his parents are, did he have any siblings. I don't see the relevance of who he married, who his children were, when everyone was born and died in order to find out who HIS PARENTS AND SIBLINGS WERE. Maybe I am wrong here, as I am new to genealogy, but you either you have him in your family or not.... Jonathan White I Esq. B. abt 1705 in lower Norfolk County, Virginia D. 1772 in Granville County, North Carolina Thank you for offering to fit him in your family Jean, and for offering to help. Hi Angel, You say you are living in WA. Are you also searching for White family there? I have some in Longview area. Another family member or friend can talk to your Grandmother. They can take notes or record it. I had an Great Aunt who couldn't remember her name but talked for 3 1/2 hours about the past and told us things we otherwise would never have found out. We have been able to confirm almost everything she said.
