Has anyone seen this name? Her husband, Nathan, died in Tippah Co, Ms just prior to 1850 census. Thanks, Jean
My Grandfather's brother was Robert White. He was born in Grimes County, Texas in Oct 1898. He did spend some time in south Texas during his working career but mainly lived in Central Texas. His grandfather was John Cary White, who was in the Battle of San Jacinto near Houston in 1836. John Cary White came from DeKalb county, GA and settled in Grimes county before the Texas Revolution. Most of the family has been in that area since. It is a very small family and as far as I know my immediate family is the only remaining members for at least 4 generations back. I'm looking for anyone that might be connected to or have knowledge about the families of: JEFF WHITE b. 3 Feb 1874 who married LIVONNIA WOODS b. 4 May 1874.... I don't know who Jeff's parents or siblings were, but I do have sketchy information about Livonnia's family....I believe that her father was TAYLOR WOODS and that it is possible that she had these siblings: John, Bud, Willie and sister Lure. Jeff and Livonnia had 5 children: Kenneth Lee, J.T., Andrew, Ollie and Susie.....besides these 5 children of their own they are said to have raised 5 other children .....3 children of JOHN WOODS....Cilla, Jim & Charlie and 2 children of LURE WOODS HUSKEY.....Robert Lee and Beula. I do know that Jeff and Lovinnia lived in or around Blytheville, AR. for a large part of their lives.....they had a farm.....they are both buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Blytheville,AR. Hoping to connect with someone and I will be glad to share what family information that I have....this is my husband's line....through KENNETH LEE WHITE b. 1919 . Hi, Thank you for the inquiry. My White family was also in Pike, Arkansas. Could you share with me some of your family line. My direct line is James White b: 1822 Kentucky married: Cynthia ( I think her last name was Johnson) who was born in 1827 Kentucky. James and Cynthia had several children the ones that I found in a 1850 census in KY was Fielding Vaughn White age 2 years and a sister. Hello All, I manage 8 surname lists, but not this one. I know how important it is to have meaningful informatio in the subjuect of a message. The welcome message for my lists specifically requests that people put something meaningful in the subject line. That's one way to address the issue. Your are also correct that it is a matter on ongoing education. Marleen Van Horne
