    2. Dear Bill - Thank you for getting back. My White ancestry all took place in Co. Donegal - 18th century and prior -- with no American extensions -- to my knowledge -- and all I know is the marriage of Lilly White - Sorry! Not any help. Good Luck in the research - Regards - Richard.

    2. Hello to who ever wrote the Darling/White information - I am descended from White's from L.ong Island back in 1760 - I am also related to a cousin who was a Darling by birth but also has a White family way back in her lineage. I have some of the information on her families - both Darling and White. Her Darlings moved from out east to Blue Earth,Minnesota and Worthington, Nobles Co., Minn. related to the Whites there through a Nott line. If this makes any sense to any one let me know - and I will help if I can. I am interested in the White and Nott information. Jean R

    1. Re: [WHITE] CT WHITES
    2. Hi Richard: I wish that I could give you information on Lilly White but I have not been able to get further back than James White, b 1831, possibly in Raphoe, County Donegal. To make matters worse there were two James Whites that came over about the same time, both settled in Watertown. One, my g-grandfather, was known as James White the 1st. Now that the older members of the family are gone (I am 76) I am at a lose to tell the difference by the time I get back to Ireland. Death Certificates only states birth place as Ireland. James White 1st m Jane Rogers, dau of William Rogers, probably from Raphoe. I will keep on file in the event I find anything. As I have left this branch of the family to last, I now have to get busy and see what I can find. I am quite satisfied with 30 years of investigating the other branches. If James White or the Rogers ring a bell with you I would be happy to hear what you have. Bill

    2. Hi Janet: Chester White was the son of Herbert White and grandson of William J. He was born somewhere around 1900. I have a very mixed group of Whites, even White marrying White, one from Tyrone and one from Donegal. They claimed no relationship but I wouldn't want to bet on it. Only have dates for the older generations. Bill
