He married Susan J. HALLACK (other spellings possible) on 16-Jun-1850 in Liberty, IN. He served in the Civil War and received a pension for disabilities. He died in Indianapolis on 28-Jun-1895. Hello, White listers. I'm still looking for ancestors (father, mother, others) of James White, who was born about 1779 in S.C. James came to Morgan Co., GA, where he married Hannah Hughey, who was born in 1779. All I have on Jame's father is that he gave some land and three slaves to James in Morgan Co. James and Hannah had a son, Gaberiel, who married Virginia Taylor. Their son was William Grant White, a sailor in the Civil War William Grant served on the ship Samson, a gunboat blockade runner, on the Savannah river. He married Alice Marion Jones. Their daughter was Jessie White, who married John Thomas Miktchell. They were my grandparents. I have heard that James' father was Joseph White, who may have been born about 1770 in S.C. Also, I seem to remember another white from North Carolina who did, in fact, marry a Native American. I think I saw this info on ancestry.com. I, too, am looking for whites in North Carolina. This White is Stephen White, born November 11, 1762. He married Elizabeth Searcy from Granville County, NC and settled for a time in Madison County, Kentucky. Hello, List, I, too, am searching for more about "my" John A. WHITE. Federal Census Records show he was born (I believe early 1800's) at South Carolina. This John A. White married Eliza A. HART (perhaps at Alabama). John A. WHITE and his wife Eliza were the parents of Jehaza WHITE, born in 1845 at Alabama. Jehaza married James J. Kitchen. John A. My White's are from that part of the country and I am having a hard time finding other surnames to help. James and Elizabeth Robinson White m. 1834 Children from this marriage Isaac; Sarah C.; Mary E.; Luke; Virginia; James could be a James White's illegit grandson (very probable)who was married to GIBSON and was a REV vet. There is a William age 29 and Lucinda Robinson age 21 with Elizabeth Robinson White on the 1850 census after James died. I believe Elizabeth Robinson White's brother was John who had a son Isaac. John Robinson on the 1850 census has a Mary and Isaac with him. The above Isaac White was in Ohio by 1860. Given names for Isaac's children were Mary C.; Ella Bell/Belle; Charles E.; Anna Elizabeth; by his first marriage children from the second are Ina Montresa; Jesse Melvin; Clarence Earl; Walter E.; Francis I.
