Group: It has been almost a year since my last contact with you re above. I am now happy to report that I THINK (not yet verified) that I have found the links. This was all thru a paper sent to me from NancyBorman which was on the Fifth Generation of Abraham Whitaker of Haverhill,MA. I have contacted Nancy on this but she had no info for me, so I am turning to you for advice on what to do now without having to go thru skillions of people who have nothing to offer. Fifth Generation AbrahamWhitaker of Haverhill, MA (Abraham-4, Jonathan-3, Abraham-2, Abraham-1) was born in Stafford Springs, Tolland, CT 19 Sep 1764. Abraham died 1840 in Warren, Bradford, PA at 75 ae. He is interred in Warren, Bradford, PA, Coborn & Dewing cseemetary. He married twice: 1) Betsey White. 22 Sept 1785, she born ABT 1766. 2)Catherine Tredwell, b 5 May 1770, d 10 May 1848 ae 78 Abraham and Betsey had 6 children, one of which was Clark Whitaker who married Catherine Beardsley (no other info on Clark). The following is evidence I collected: Nat'l. Archives, Pittsfield, MA. Town of Binghamton, County of Broome, NY,8 July 1870, Clark H. and Sylvester Whitaker are shown as farmers, Clark ae 70, from VT, Catherine ae 64, of NJ, and Sylvester, 41 of PA. Sylvester is shown as owner of the farm. Handwritten Death Notices from Town of Fenton, NY, listing Sylvester S. Whitaker, 69, of BradfordCo., PA as having expired 17 April 1898, father Clark H. Whitaker of VT, mother Catherine Whitaker of PA, interred in Spring Forest Cemetary (no dates for his parents as I was inquiring about Sylvester). This Sylvester is my grandfather. Certificate of Death, State of Maine, for Sylvester S. Whitaker, b 5 June,, 1892, d 17 Mar 1966, Birthplace Binghamton, NY, father's name Sylvester Whitaker, mother Adelia Sagendorf,wife Lillian M Whitaker, was in Armed Forces.
