Whitaker b. 27 November 1823 was the son of Jonathan Whitaker b. 1780 and his wife Mary Bailey or Bayles (Geo. W., Jonathan, Stephen, Jonathan, Jr., Jonathan Whitaker, I.) Stephen Whitaker, father of Jonathan was born in Somerset Co. N.J. and died in Benton, Yates Co., N.Y. I don't have a wife or family listed for George W. He had siblings: Stephen Madison Whitaker b. 3 June 1809 Squire Bailey Whitaker b. 29 May 1807 Alexander Finley Whitaker b. 17 Augus 1811 William Harlow Whitaker b. 16 August 1813 Ephraim Mallory Whitaker b. 27 August 1816 Ruth Ann Whitaker b. 10 Marcy 1818 Marietta Whitaker b. 15 December 1820 George W.Whitaker b. 27 Nov. 1823 If you think that this could be your George I will be glad to share information on his family.
