This is my other hard to find Whitaker problem. These two were my grandparents. John is in the 1900 TX census in McLennen Co. TX living with his older brother Robert Columbus. John and Myrtle's first child, Myrtle Ann, was born in 1905 so I imagine they were married around 1903-05. My father, Neely Vines, was born in 1908 in Comanche Co. TX and all of their other 8 children were also born in TX. But when I looked at the 1910 TX Soundex I could not find them. This is very puzzling since I am as certain as I can be that they never lived anywhere else until the 1940's. Does anyone think they may have a connection, or any suggestions on how to pursue this?
