My branch started with Joseph Whitaker. Born in Bradford, Yorkshire England in 1826. Emigrated to Cincinnati, OH in 1831. Married Sarah Beresford in 1847 (Cincinnati). She died in 1849. Child Elizabeth Jane James. Married Mary Wunder in 1852 (Cincinnati). She died in 1875. Children John Lee, Vanakin, Clara Bell Catlin, Joseph C, William C, Mary Estelle Stearns, Blanche Varney, George K, Sam Wunder, Bertha and Imogene Spencer Moved to Leavenworth, KS in 1870. Married Harriett Emily Ball in 1878 (Leavenworth). She died in 1918. Children: Chandler and Harriett Emily Weyer (my grandmother). Joseph died in 1911 in Leavenworth. Joseph and wives are buried in Spring Grove Cemetary in Cincinnati.
