William's brothers were David, John, Columbus, and Nathan living in Henry Co. also. James Whitacre/Whitaker was born in GA 1851/52 his wife Nancy Whitaker was born in AL about 1864. They were living in Coffee Co., AL in the 1880 census and had one son Daniel J. born in 1878. During the census of 1900 James Madison Whitaker and wife Nancy born in June 1964 were still living in Coffee Co., AL and had Daniel J. born May 1878, Eva Ella-Dec 1884, Cleveland-Dec. 1886, Lila C.-Jan. 1889, Sally V.-April 1892, Bertie Lee-Sept. 1894.
