Sorry, wish I could help but I don't have enough information to match her with anyone. Have you tried looking on her death certificate? Since she died in 1959 there should be one and it would tell who her parents were and the dates of her birth and death, cause of death, etc. Go to the County Courthouse and look in the death records for 1959. You should be able to find her on the census records. Was she in Virginia by 1910? 1920? There might be an obituary. Try the Danville newspapers for one. Look for her husband's death certificate, an obituary for him, and find him on the census to see where he was born. Maybe they were married there. You might try the libraries in Danville. Often there are county history books that contain family histories. Sometimes the tombstone will say "daughter of _____". Often families traveled together and lived close to each other. Look on the census to see who the neighbors were and if there were other families who could have been sisters or brothers. Sometimes their family history will shed some light on your ancestor, or their descendants might have the family Bible. Good luck, Joan -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Wednesday, November 04, 1998 6:37 PM Subject: Fwd: Is This list still active? >I have the year she was born in as 1884 and died 1959,,,she was buried in >Danville Virginia, had a duaghter named Lossie May born in 1901 and died in >1954. > >Any help would be appreciated.......thanks! > >Larry >
