It's been too quiet on the Whitaker front lines... Isn't anyone looking for someone? Or are we all diligently inputting all that wonderful information we've been accumulating? I've been fortunate to get copies of my gg-grandfather's death records and one of his sons, my g-uncle, death records. Very sketchy information family wise, not much for leads. My g-uncle had his brother, Charles, as an executor of his will and this gave me the information that Charles was living at No. 28 Canwick Place in The City of Lincoln, Lincs, England in 1897. So now I'm trying to track down Charles and any family he might have had. Charles was a Commercial Traveler (traveling salesman). I have a couple other brothers still to track down, but find I get better results if I "go for one at a time". Charles was born Nov. 10, 1844 in Dorrington, Lincs. Parents: James and Mary (Pinder) Whitaker Found a Charles m. to Martha abt. 1876, in the IGI, but can't prove yet that it's the same Charles.
