There is a West WHITAKER in Pontotoc Co. OK on the 1910 census age 59. Can anyone claim him as a relative???. I think he is the Wasley WHITAKER that was bor in Tishoming Co. MS in 1847, was in McNairy Co. TN in 1870, Denton Co.TX in 1880. He went to prison in TX in 1882 for murder and then received a pardon in 1902. Wesley had a son John and he is in Pontotoc Co. OK in 1900(Indian Nation) and he had a daughter Dona and she was in Pontotoc Co. with her brother John. Dona was married to J.L. Griffin who died in McNairy Co.TN before 1900.
