Frann: I gathered from the document that Mack is the grandson of Marcus Boone Whitaker who's brother John Married Elizabeth Love. I know this is confusing because Because Marcus Boone Whitaker's father Mark also had a brother named John who is my 5th great grandfather. W. Kirby Whitaker stated that her grandfather's father was John who was the brother of Mack's grandfather, Mark. W. K. also stated Mack's sister, Lynne, married R. L. Motlow (Jack Daniel's nephew). With further research I have discovered that this couple was indeed Margaret Lynne Whitaker who married Robert Lee Motlow in 1910 in Lincoln Co., TN. You see it is highly unlikely, if not impossible for Margaret Lynne Whitaker's grandparents to be Mark Whitaker and Katie Boone if she was to marry R. L. Motlow in 1910 unless she was VERY much older than he (b. 1864). Now we have Mack Whitaker and Margaret Lynne Whitaker as siblings but who are their parents? Because we can assume a paternal link here that passed on the name I have determined that Mack Whitaker and Margaret Lynne Whitaker's father could possibly be one of the following. . . Charley Lafayette Whitaker b. July 04, 1834 John Franklin Whitaker William Boone Whitaker b. January 10, 1840 . . . but I have several other possible siblings of the above mentioned who I only have lister as initials without even a sex being known. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of Marcus Boone Whitaker and Rosanna Rutledge's children?
