I have a document entitled: 'MY GRANDPARENTS, THEIR DESCENDANTS AND FORBEARS' by W. Kirby Whitaker, 1961. I this document W. Kirby Whitaker describes his 'grandfather's father's parents' as being Mark Whitaker and Katie Boone. He also states that 'Cousin Mack is a grandson of Mark who was a brother of my grandfather's father, John'. This makes 'Mack' the grandson of Marcus Boone Whitaker and Rosanna Rutledge. . . but which child of this couple is the father of 'Mack'? This makes W. Kirby Whitaker the great grandson of John Whitaker and Elizabeth Love. . . but which child of this couple is the grandfather of W. Kirby Whitaker. W. Kirby Whitaker also mentions that Mack's sister is Mrs. Lynne Motlow. Could this be Margaret Lynne Whitaker who married Robert Lee Motlow in 1910 in Lincoln Co., Tennessee? I'm also searching for any other links between the Whitaker and Motlow families from Lincoln Co., TN. I find records of Motlows marrying Whitakers and Motlows marrying Daniels and Whitakers marrying Tolleys and Tolleys marrying Daniels. But it is all fragmented.
