This is the first time I have written to this list, but I recently found out that my gr.gr.gr. grandmother was Johanna Whitaker born 1802. She was married to Josiah Stallings in Morgan county, Ga. I do not know where the Whitakers I am related to originally came from, but perhaps North Carolina. I know there are a number of Whitakers here in Andrews, North Carolina. The ones I am related ro were in Heard county and Carroll county in Georgia. I am descended from their daughter Sarepta Jane Stallings married to Samuel Tally. I would like to find her parents and brothers and sisters. There are some other researchers who believe her father may have been Jordan John Whitakerm but we dont know yet.
