To purchase the Hester Jackson book on Surry County Whitakers, contact her son, Dan Jackson, at <djackson@aisnc.net> The book is $30.00 postpaid. This is a reprint that is now about 13 years old. There have been some discoveries since the first printing and is not included but this is basically a solid research effort and well worth the money.
