Good evening to the WHITAKER list members, While working with another individual on ORDWAY and CORLISS lines, we came upon a HULDAH CORLISS who married ABRAHAM WHITAKER as her second husband December 27, 1704 in Haverhill, MA. (Haverhill VR 2:196, 330). We show that the ABRAHAM that married HULDAH was a son of ABRAHAM and SARAH (BEANE) WHITAKER, born May 20, 1683 at Haverhill (1:313). Since HULDAH was born November 18, 1661 at Haverhill (1:77), the age difference doesn't really make sense. We believe ABRAHAM was the son of ABRAHAM and ELIZABETH (SIMMONS) WHITAKER born February 27, 1656 at Haverhill (1:313).
