A while back I researched this line trying to prove the ancestors of my Jonathan Whitaker born about 1690. Ephraim Seward Whitaker said on the old Whitaker family chart that he believed Jonathan to be descended from John Whitaker of Watertown, Mass. who had sons John b. 1662 and Jonathan b. 1664 and probably also sons David and Nathaniel. The Nicholas line was followed by LDS down through son John of Watertown to daughter Sarah b. 1660 who married William Young (they were the grandparents of Brigham Young.) They had Elizabeth and John, removed to Billerica.." I believe that someone has a web page with the Nicholas line. I think that I called it up on my search engine once by typing in Nicholas Whitaker of Belbroughton or something similar. Best wishes, Joan Whitaker Landrum
