Kathryn, It is very possible that my Whittakers and yours are related although, Mine is spelled with two t's. I don't know what that's about but my gramps was always making certain that people spelled his name that way. I do now know that Warren and a George Whittaker were listed in Scituate Ma 1894 directory at Ancestry.com but I am not a member. My husband descends from Abraham Whitaker (b. 1626 England) and Elizabeth Simmons. Their generations take them through Haverhill, MA, Windsor, Vermont, Newfane, Vermont. He is descended from Whitney Whitaker (Sr. and Jr.) and Foster Holland Whitaker, all of Newfane. I don't see any names in common, but the towns sure are.
